Why does Kyle Field need to be renovated?

Because Texas A&M deserves the finest collegiate facilities and the goal is to build the greatest venue in the history of college football. Millions of people see Texas A&M University through football Saturdays in the fall and this facility will make a statement that the Aggies do not settle, we commit to excellence in everything we do. A redeveloped Kyle Field will amplify and honor our past and our traditions while expanding the intimidation factor.

Why does Kyle Field need to be reseated?

The scope of this project is massive and will result in a complete reseating of Kyle Field for the 2015 season. This is necessary to generate the funding for the project, and to ensure that we provide fair and equitable access to all seating opportunities for current members as well as individuals seeking to support the program and acquire seats for the first time

How much will the project cost and how will it be funded?

The total cost of Kyle Field Redevelopment is $450 million. 51 percent will be funded by annual seat licenses, 27 percent will be funded by Kyle Field Campaign gifts, 17 percent will be funded by Texas A&M students and 5 percent will be funded by the local government agencies.

When will seating options be made available to review?

Information on seating options will be released on Tuesday, June 4, 2013.

Will Texas A&M play at Kyle Field in the 2013, 2014, and 2015 seasons?

Yes, the project construction schedule has been phased to allow the 2013, 2014 and 2015 home schedules to be played at Kyle Field in College Station.

Will my seats that I currently sit in be available for the 2014 season?

If you sit on the west or north side of the stadium, then yes, your current seats will most likely be available to you for the 2014 season. Changes in construction, or the impact of construction could change this plan, and season ticket holders should understand that the project may have an impact on their seating for the 2014 season. The 12th Man Foundation will provide a complete overview of how the 2014 seating process will work once the details of the plan have been finalized.

What happens if the planned phase is not complete in time for the 2014 or 2015 season?

Contingency plans are in place to accommodate fans in case construction timelines are not met, or if unexpected circumstances prevent the completion of certain areas.

Why is there a gap between the date that the information is being made available, and when I can purchase seating options?

To give everyone time to review the options, ask questions if needed, and to identify options that suit their game day needs without pressuring individuals into a quick decision process.

Seating capacity is expected to be 102,500 for the 2015 season.

Kevin Sumlin

"We are very excited about the upcoming renovations at Kyle Field. I said when I returned to Aggieland that the atmosphere at Kyle Field is second to none. The new Kyle Field makes a statement about the commitment of all Aggie fans to our football program. With the 12th Man standing ready, the Spirit of Aggieland is real, and the fans really make a difference to our current players as well as our future recruits."

Johnny Manziel

"I can tell you there is not a better feeling than running out of the tunnel onto Kyle Field in front of the 12th Man. Our atmosphere is the very best in the country and our fans are smart and loud. I am excited about the new renovations at Kyle Field because I think we are taking something that is already great, and making it even better."

Can I review the Kyle Field Seating Option Commitment that I will need to electronically sign prior to my appointment?

Yes, a sample copy can be accessed by clicking here.

Why will endowed season ticket holders be able to determine their seating area in July in advance of other donors?

We are enhancing the way we are honoring Endowed Seat Holders by ensuring they will be able to choose their seating area in the first wave of the sales process.

Why are appointments now a part of the seating option selection process in August?

The response toward the design of the “on-sale” segments was very positive, but there was a great deal of concern about the size of the segments and the fact that if a section was nearing “sell out” condition, the “game” within a segment could be how fast someone works the computer rather than how much support have they provided the 12th Man Foundation. We are going to protect each donor’s individual priority status by infusing unique appointment times within each priority “on-sale” segment.

How will I be notified of my Priority Point total and corresponding appointment to select seating options?

Notifications will be delivered via email between Friday, August 2, 2013 and Monday, August 5, 2013. Your Priority Point total and appointment date and time will also be available in the Members Area of www.12thmanfoundation.com beginning on Monday, August 5, 2013.

When will the season ticket prices be published for seating options?

Season ticket prices are set for each football season by the Director of Athletics. Traditionally, season ticket prices are established 10-11 months ahead of the first game of the season.  Season ticket pricing for the 2015 season will be announced earlier than normal, but is not available at this time.

When is the annual contribution due?

How can I contribute to the 12th Man Foundation to increase my Priority Points by August 1, 2013?

How many seats are available in each seating level?  And how many rows are in the levels?

The quantity of seats and rows available in each seating level is not available at this time because of changes that occur between phases of the design process.  These changes prevent the publishing of accurate seat and row quantities.  When seat quantities that are accurate are available, they will be published.

Why is there a Kyle Field Campaign Gift required for all seats in Kyle Field?

As part of the shared commitment, a Campaign Gift requirement for all seats is a way for all Aggies, regardless of the amount, to help fund the total cost of the project.

Where will wheelchair or accessible seating be located?

Kyle Field will have wheelchair and accessible (ADA) seating, along with companion seating with enhanced sight lines, on all levels.  Disabled seating is reserved for the exclusive use of individuals with disabilities who require the features of accessible seating and their guests.  Individuals may request ADA seating during the reservation process.

Is the Campaign Gift I make to secure seats tax deductible?

Under current Internal Revenue Code provisions, no more than 80 percent of an amount paid to or for the benefit of an institution of higher education may be treated as a charitable contribution if, as a result of the payment, the donor receives the right to purchase tickets for seating at an athletic event in an athletic stadium at the institution. This may apply to the Campaign Gift and the Annual Contribution. You should consult your tax advisor to determine whether these provisions apply to you.

Why do some areas on the seat map not show up as available seating options?  What are those areas going to be used for?

Areas on the seating map that are not shaded are not available as seating options.  They will be used for students, visitors, Texas A&M faculty and staff, Texas A&M Lettermen’s Association members, university and athletic department use.

Do I receive Priority Points for my Campaign Gift?

Yes, you will accrue Priority Points for all payments you make towards your Campaign Gift.

Can I use my company’s Matching Gift Program to pay a portion of my Campaign and/or Annual Contribution?

Yes. If you are employed by a company that has a matching gift program, you have the opportunity to increase the value of your gift at no additional cost to you. Please check with your human resources office for more details. Please take into consideration that many matching gift companies only match the tax-deductible portion of your gift.

If I make the Campaign Gift required for seats, how long will I be able to sit in those seats?

For seating options with a $1,500 per seat or higher Campaign Gift, donors that commit to seating options prior to June 1, 2014 will receive a fifteen (15) year term. For all other seating options with Campaign Gifts of less than $1,500 per seat, donors that commit to seating options prior to June 1, 2014 will receive a ten (10) year term.

How many tickets can I make Campaign Gift commitments for?

At this time, each donor account is limited to no more than eight (8) Prime West Legacy Club and/or West Legacy Club seat options, and is limited to no more than twelve (12) seat options in any other individual level. Limits may be lifted when seating options become available to the general public on Thursday, August 29, 2013.

When do I have to pay my Campaign Gift?

At the time of your seating option commitment, a down payment is required equal to 1/5th of the total Campaign Gift, up to $500. If 1/5th of your total gift is greater than $500, then the remaining first year payment balance is due December 31, 2013.

Example 1: You commit to two seats in the Prime West Field Box and your total Campaign Gift is $6,000, with 1/5th of that total gift equal to $1,200. At the time of your commitment, your down payment due is $500, and the remaining $700 of your first year payment is due by December 31, 2013.
Example 2: You commit to four seats in the West Bench and your total Campaign Gift is $1,600, with 1/5th of that total gift equal to $320. At the time of your commitment, your down payment due is $320. Your next payment of $320 is due by December 31, 2014.

When will I have to pay the Annual Contribution for the seats I select?

You will be billed for the annual contribution for your level in the spring before you will occupy those seats.

If I commit to seats, will I be able to transfer those seats to my son or daughter? What about my wife or husband? What about my business partner?

All seats are transferrable to your spouse or lineal ascendants and descendents during your seating term.

When do I pick my actual seats?

Seat selection will occur in 2015.

I want to sit with my brother, but we both want to have seats in our name. Will we be able to select seats next to each other?

Yes, you can both make Campaign Gift commitments in the same seating level, and at the time of seat selection, you may choose to select your seats together. Your spot in the seat selection within your seating level will be determined by the lowest Priority Point ranking member of the group.

What happens after the 10 or 15 year term is over on the seating option I select?

The term you are given for your selected seating option gives you the right to renew those seats for that term. What happens after the term expires is not defined at this time, and will not be defined until those dates approach.

What is going to happen to Lot A?

At this time, details of the project impact on parking, including Lot A, are not known. We do know that there will be an impact, and the 12th Man Foundation will communicate those details as soon as they are finalized.

How will parking be allocated?

Parking will be allocated annually based on Priority Points.
